Like a contemporary cross between Bob Dylan & Janis Joplin, Kiki Schippers pours out her head and heart in a linguistic, musical and dazzling solo about ideals.\nPoliticians come and go, the world changes and the mood changes with it.\nIn all that violence, Kiki wonders out loud: what is there to choose?\nAnd what do your ideals actually have to do with that?\nYou want to vote for the politician you trust, but not for that one party.\nYou want to save but also want to go on holiday.\nWill you remain faithful to the love of your life or will you follow your heart?\nLife is full of practical objections.<\/p>\n\n

At a time when overproductivity and self-development are fighting for the most likes, everyone seems to be too tired to choose, even if it is between sushi and Hawaiian pizza tonight.\nBetween dream and action, Kiki sketches a world full of contradictions, in which she continues to fight for a place where things are allowed to exist side by side: ideas, feelings, bubbles and people who are no longer completely sure.\nWhat is certain: we are all struggling, and when Kiki starts singing everyone goes quiet.<\/p>\n\n

Kiki Schippers has been making people think for years with her language columns, sings protest songs that keep dancing in your head and grates with her sharp observations and critical questions.\nLast year she was nominated for the most impressive cabaret performance of the season and she previously won the Annie M.G.\nSchmid Prize for the best theater song.\nWith her lightning-fast humorous contributions to programs such as Spijkers met Koppen, Spraakmakers.<\/p>\n\n
